I got this as part of a package deal from a local music store when I bought my daughter's uke. Set it chromatic and it works great for other instruments as well. I've tried it on a solid body guitar, classical guitar, and a violin.

We haven't had it long so I can't speak to some of the easy to break comments other reviewers mentioned.

This tuner came in a package with my Kala uke and I have been using it for over a year now on both ukuleles and guitars. It is small and easy to use. I teach children to play the ukulele and they are quick to learn how to use this tuner.

It has the ukulele "C" tuning (which also works for the low G tuning) and "D" tuning, or you can put it into "chromatic" mode which is what I do for tuning a guitar. (May not be perfect, but it's a quick and useful tune if you're about to jam with other players and want to check the tuning.) It has helped me learn to tune by ear because it allows me to practice anywhere.

Small size, easily fits into the pouch of a ukulele bag. I've never had to replace the battery on it and I've used it extremely often for the 1+ year I've owned it.

Highly recommend!
